Asking questions about a particular piece of clothing or accessory usually unlocks a special history about that person.  I've decided to interview closets because I want to look at artifacts of a person's everyday life.  I hand paint each item to elevate its importance and to create a portrait of the interview subject.  Follow me on Instagram @theclosetinterview and @annthaden.

Senior Editorial Director of Barneys New York Marissa Rosenblum has said of The Closet Interview "Love the closet illustrations. So sweet and fun!
